Reinvention

Reinvention has been ..like that elusive lover
whom i want to touch and befriend
but all i do is hide for cover
not letting the illusion end

.

Is reinvention a dream?
or something tangible?
..is the thought i have

Is selfloving reinvention possible?
Am i worthy of more?
..is the thought i have

What reinvention story are you impressed with, dear reader?
When i think of a reinvention  story
Most visible to me is that of Swiper the fox
Who?
Yes..
A cartoon character
at Dora the Explorer

Why the fox?

He started out as a meany .
He would swipe Dora’s stuff away!
And either Dora had to search for it
or run him off by saying
‘ swiper , no swiping’
But now we are seeing a change!
He is developing conscience!

In Dora and three little pigs

He realizes that he should not have swipedstuff from story book village and.. returns them!!!

In Dora Saves the Mermaid:

He understands when Dora explains why not to swipe the crownHe even helps by swiping garbage off a whales’ eyes

People can spend a life in prison and still never develop a conscience… here a cartoon character has found the way.  Kudos to the Dora creators for thinking of doing this.  Its very inspiring.

Interesting question you pose here: Are redemption and transformation truly possible and am I worth it? Do I deserve it? Can I even answer this question for myself? I don’t know the answers. It require more thought! Thanks for visiting my blog!

Kendall’s Collection is becoming so popular! For good reason too, it’s gorgeous! It’s almost like the new Lisa Frank. :)

  3. I think everyone has the ability to change and have self worth if they take the time to look at themselves and do what needs to be done. Your post posed some strong questions today. Thanks for that. Have a great day.

    Dear Shraddha,

Thank you so much for your prayers for Mena. Prayers are the greatest of healers. God’s Will be done.

    Happy Independence Day as well,
    Love

Your comments are off on the Independence post, so I’ve come here.
    Congratulations to you all.

Change is always possible, although not always easy. Redemption comes with time and great will power. Self worth comes with realizing you have done your best and have made peace with it.

I couldn’t comment above. Happy Independence Day! Someone last night was taking the time to explain the tradition in India of what happens on Independence Day. I was truly fascinated as it’s totally different from the US. To answer your questions you left me. I did my own designing for my blog. I have to redo it but I can’t redo mine until I finish my friends blog as she had waited so patiently for me. I pay $100 dollars for the year for web hosting and the best part is the domain is free for as long as I have the web hosting. It’s only the first domain that is free. Thank you so much for the nice comments. They really make my day! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Shraddha, this was a new word for me as well. But I could relate to it. As a boy I lived on a farm with my parents. Many a tromp through the low land given over to nature and new trees, weeds, tall grass, etc.

Dad had a small triangular tract across the creek that was hard to get to for farming. In fact it was pasture and had original native Nebraska grass still growing on it. Plus a few trees which he would keep cut down fairly well so it could be used as pasture for the live stock–animals–to graze.

When I left he stopped raising animals except chickens and pigs. He did not allow those smaller animals to go there as that piece of property was too far away from the farm place for them.

Since it was not used for pasture he also let the young trees grow and declared it a nature preserve. It became a true copse, down by the creek, low and wet.
    ..
So I will wait for your poem, it won’t be that hard. Think of a park. Or a weed patch growing by the road that is not cultivated and trees are now growing it in.
Basically nature has taken over land that was perhaps once used by agriculture. Of course it could have been in existence forever but the true copse has had some attempt to keep the trees from growing in the not too distant past. :-)
(((Hugs))) and I know you will do it!

I’d LOVE to reinvent myself, and if I did, I’d be very different. LOL! I’d be closer to my highest self, which seems hidden under layers of less brilliant selves.

I am adding this blog, too! Reinvention is so much better that coasting along being miserable because you know your are. I need to read that Dora book, and I plan to borrow it from my little friend, Maiah.

  17. I too like Dora, but becos my girls are grown up now, Dora is not a frequently watched program now a days.

Has the fox really changed ??? Thats a gud sign. I’ll try and watch this episode.

Conscience changes happen greatly due to circumstances, is my opinion.

Shraddha, Thank you for you kind comments and support during my difficult time. I do so appreciate your virtual presence and feedback. My blog has been my escape lately, and where I can truly express my feelings without fear of hurting anyone or being judged. Again, thank you !
