Interview

A story has no beginning or end;
arbitrarily one chooses that moment of experience
from which to look back
or from which to look ahead time had passed

Pregnancy was seeming like an elusive dream
Failed IUIs and IVF were on the list of efforts
PCOS was the cause apparently
The second IVF was planned
We were scared of losing all options
Hubby ran an ad just as a fluke
To see if some indian woman would like to give us her egg cells
Second IVF failed
But few extra embryos were frozen for FET
An angel replied to our ad
We went to interview her in Chicago
She looked a lot like me
We were very impressed
She was not hindu like us
She was muslim
She was from a very rich family
It was not for money
She just wanted to help out
As she had seen someone struggle in her family
We decided to go for it
Chose a Chicago Doctor even
But my last FET had to be over
We had no hope for FET
But God had other plans!
We got pregnant with that last FET!
We did not need the help of the angel at all!!
She was very happy for us
God bless her!
May be the hope of making it with her
Took the pressure of the last FET!
May be it was newly found love for Lord Hanuman that did the trick
Although the interview had no use
It did do something
It created the magic
I did get pregnant
With my own egg cells!!! :) :) :)

PCOS – Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome

IUIintrauterine insemination — is performed by threading a very thin flexible catheter through the cervix and injecting washed sperm directly into the uterus.

IVFIn vitro fertilisation– is a process by which egg cells are fertilised by sperm outside the womb, in vitro. IVF is a major treatment in infertility when other methods of assisted reproductive technology have failed.

FET- If there are extra embryos that are not used during initial IVF procedures, these embryos can be frozen and then transferred to your uterus at a later date. Known as frozen embryo transfer (FET).

Nicely told. Doubt anyone can ever feel the anguish & pain of a woman in such a situation unless one goes through the same.
