Ego and Truth

Truth is “you”, the undiscovered, real and timeless ‘you’ free of ego, free of the thing that creates conflict, guilt, fear in your mind, limiting your ability to perceive love, trust, peace, joy and abundance. ~ Nouk Sanchez

Spiritual Awakening is such a happy thought
But undoing the ego is a monumental task
I know its a barrier to love , joy and peace
I know undoing has helped me save my marriage

I know the need to feel self love
Conscious love can never end
Forgiveness, unlearning, is the key
Truth comes to me
When i free myself of ego
When i refuse to get sucked in negativity of emotions
I refuse to react negatively when anger burns me through

Some feel jealous
Some feel nostalgia
Some have a hurt child within
My curse is anger
I let it burn me now
As the moment passes by
I consciously choose to do something positive
Its effect is miraculous
No cry
No manipulation
No reaction is the rule

Just these two things
-Not react
-Do something positive as anger passes away
Has changed my life
Has changed the way i look at life
Has changed how people look at me

Undoing Ego is difficult
But is greatest gift of Self Love
It has brought me the joy of my truth

    Struck a chord somewhere….

Hv gone thru similar emotions….and left the ego on the way, somewhere and have always felt good abt it. Theres no need for it among partners in life.

  7. ego definitely gets in the way of things. not reacting to a situation that makes you mad is a difficult practice but a worthy one. have a great day/ weekend.

Truth is always good to hear. I remember reading somewhere that chemically our body has a physical response to emotions for around a minute. I can’t remember if it was just over or just under. The point being, after the physical reaction we get to choose our response. The automatic physical reaction isn’t where we get into trouble, what we do in response is what trips us up. Thank you for a beautiful reminder to have purposeful responses.
