There are many reasons why i love the country where i was born.
I love India because it is my ‘bharatmata’
I love India because most of my family is there
I love India because its my identity, i am Indian.
Here is a video from very special friend, Jay Gujrar.
He is the third eye at one of my most favorite blogs Amateur Clicker – Photographs of India
Do have the speakers on, its accompanied by a beautiful song.
Jay thinks i can not speak in Hindi!
So this is for you Jay
Bharat mera desh hai
Pati ke saath pardes aayi
Lekin mere dil mai mera desh hai
Mai hu ‘Army man’ ki beti
Sikkim hamne bhi dekha hai
Kashmir ki vaadiya bhi dekhi
Khush hu
Jay and friends ke haatho mey
Mera pyara desh, safe hai!!
Sorry ek, do, english words ke liye!!

I think we all have a soft spot for “our” countries – I know I am Canadian and I love Canada – couldn’t imagine living anywhere else… in fact I am even attached to my province I don’t think I will ever leave Alberta!!
Since I met so many Indian blogging-buddies-friends, that’s the time I started loving India, but more than that, when I was teaching in high school, 25 years back, I love to teach about India.
I will continue to love and appreciate India and someday, when I will have the chance, I will visit your country and try to drop by your place.
My hubby and I am planning to use our savings after all my kids in college are done with their studies.
Isn’t that exciting Shrads!

A Thanksgiving Limerick, DC-style:
I just heard that two turkeys’ demise
Was avoided, to their great surprise.
The big turkey in power,
In the eleventh hour,
Gave them pardon, along with the pies.
Hope you and yours have the Happiest!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Lol at the Pepsi commerical!
Great Pepsi commercial. It truly is a beautiful country!
i’m sure you miss India and the family you still have there. it has to be difficult sometimes especially occasions you would celebrate together. but know that they think of you as much as you do them. may you one day be reunited.
i absolutely love that pepsi video. have a great day/ weekend.
Those commercial videos are hilarious! Thanks for sharing them. It’s too hard to be away from your family. Maybe they can visit your blog between travel times.
there is a famous song from the movie “kabuliwaala”, ‘aye mere pyaaein watan’; and whenever i listen to this song it gets a hold one me…
and even if this song was never made, “I am still proud to be an Indian”
I love India. I had a friend called Aruna. I worked with her at the Regent Hotel in Sydney. I visited her and her family in Bombay, and travelled for 2 months. I would live there if I could. Thanks for stopping by my blog…I have to come back here when I have more time…you have so much…
