How scary and absolutely amazing, all at the same time!

I worked in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), the ER and on the Transport Team at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta several years ago. It is so incredible what all those tiny little bodies can endure, from the preemies all the way to the older children. They are all so incredibly resilient.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so thankful everything turned out well. You were surely blessed.

I hope you and your family are doing well and are enjoying a great NEW YEAR! I'm hosting my very first give away, a 'PAY IT FORWARD' give-away! If you get a chance, come check it out!

What an incredible story and so wonderfully told. My little guy was coming at 26 weeks. I had placenta previa. 4 trips to hospital and 10 weeks on bed rest with Tributiline he made it to 36 weeks. I, like you, am so thankful for the technology that helped him come into this world healthy. He is now 6... he will forever be my miracle baby. We could have both died during my pregnancy but we didn't thanks to the research these non-profit organizations support. Tell me how are you raising money for the March of Dimes? How can I help?

So glad your girls are healthy now. Science has done wonders to help our little ones, and for that I, too am grateful! My grandson was born 6 weeks premature and needed an incubator and oxygen. Thank God he is now almost 4 years old and has no health problems and is doing very well (as is mom).

Oh wow. You manage to convey everything so beautifully through a poem. Doubt everyone can do that. That's so creative. Could imagine the pain, gratitude and transitions you went through. Happy new year.

Thank you so much for sharing your twins with us and for spreading the word about the importance of fighting for preemies. The March of Dimes is very grateful for your support.

Hi Shrads, I am running late again. Busy yes, but I suppose I post too much to answer all with the time I do have.

Thank you for this neat rundown of the birth of your twins. You all had a hard time until they were finally home.

Our youngest grandchild was four months premature as our daughter, Karen, had developed severe toxemia.
